PCI College is now offering students the opportunity to do a Distance Learning Certificate in Counselling & Psychotherapy Education with the option to progress to an in-class BSc Honours degree and become a Professional Accredited Counsellor.
The programme is ideal for those who always wanted to study Counselling & Psychotherapy but could not commit to a classroom course due to scheduling difficulties.
The PCI College Distance Learning Certificate in Counselling & Psychotherapy can be started at any time and students can study and complete the course at your own pace. Programme material is delivered online, through the PCI College Student Portal, with live discussion forums, chat rooms and regular lecturer contact to ensure plenty support to complete the programme. The practical aspects of counselling are covered during two Experiential Weekend Workshops at PCI s Dublin West Campus. Here the focus is on interpersonal communication, personal development and counselling skills.
The course is assessed by assignment and, upon completion, students can apply for the BSc (Hons) in Counselling & Psychotherapy (Level 8), which is validated by Middlesex University. The Diploma (awarded in Year 3 of the BSc degree) meets the training criteria of the IACP for professional accreditation.
