Lorna Kelly completed a Diploma in Advanced Project Management at Dublin Business School, a programme that specifically incorporates preparation for the Project Management Institute (PMI).

The course is taught by professionals and prepares students for the project management professional certification examination, which is recognised globally. The course centres on the 5 project management processes: initiation, planning, execution, control, and close-out and welcomes people from all professions and academic disciplines.

Lorna completed the 14-week programme consisting of one evening class a week and gained the internationally recognised and prestigious PMP accreditation. She says that the fact that she only needed to attend class one evening per week made it very, very manageable and would highly recommend others to gain the qualification too. In fact, a few of the people she has recommended it to have already completed the course now!

Coming from a business background, she found the course helped improve her knowledge of and skills in marketing, cost management, planning, human resource management and much more. The fact that all the lecturers are PMP-qualified gave Lorna even more confidence in the course and the qualification it has led her to gain.

She explains: the lecturers all have the highest level of accreditation you can get in project management so you know that they have been working in the industry for years and have been very successful working on high level projects .
