Course Description
TWO DAY WORKSHOP – Constantin Stanislavski-
Dublin Central School of Acting
TWO DAY WORKSHOP
Limited to 14
If you wish a quick and easy access into the Stanislavsli Technique this is the workshop for you.
This one Day Workshop, run by Elizabeth-Moynihan (Actress And Writer), is suitable for actors who have some training and who want instant knowledge of the Stanislavski Method without the trouble of having to plough through books – often with quite bad translations.
Stanislavski was a Russian actor, director, and teacher. He co-founded the legendary Moscow Arts Theatre. He created a ‘system’ for actors to use in rehearsals. This ‘system’ was to develop an understanding of the motivations, obstacles, and objectives of any character in every moment. All of these elements above will be discussed.
Elizabeth will also cover the following:
- The Classic Stanislavski Warm-Up
- Basic Stanislavski exercises.
- Loggerheads and the art of improvisation.
- Justification of an action.
- Room Re-Call.
- Portrait Exercises
- The Moment before …
- Inner monologues.
- Building a character.
- Hot seating.
