“Take a Bite” The world in your kitchen”.
7.00pm* -9pm Monday
A series of recipes to get you cooking and tasting dishes from around the world.
Week 1: Italian: Tomato and prawn risotto with rocket side salad.
Week 2: British: Bangers and mustard Mash with onion gravy
Week 3: Spanish: Iberian chicken and chickpea bake with mushrooms & cherry tomatoes.
Week 4: Mexican: Chilli beef Rigatoni with paprika and cooling side salsa.
Week 5: Hungarian: Beef stroganoff with oven baked rice pilaff and sour cream & parsley.
Week 6: Asian: Sticky Asian noodles with green veg and noodles.
Week 7: Greek: Crispy Moussaka with Greek salad.
Week 8: Middle-Eastern: Lamb and lentil curry with baby spinach and Cous cous
Week 9: French: Pork loin and Rosemary chips with grilled veg.
Week 10: Japanese: Teriyaki glazed salmon with broccoli and rice.
Notes:
- Menu is subject to change according to availability of ingredients. All recipes can be made suitable for vegetarians.
- Students cook in pairs- This is a fantastic way to meet new people & make new friends.
- Please bring along a Tea Towel, sharp paring knife, a cloth and 2 large lunch boxes to bring food home in after.
- Cookery lesson begins at 7.00pm. It is recommended (not obligatory) that students arrive approx 5-10 mins early to collect and weigh ingredients.
- Tidy up at the end of class is essential. The kitchen needs to be left spotlessly clean and everything put back in its correct place. Thank you in anticipation of your cooperation in leaving the room in good order for the next class.
