This course will enable students to understand the role of the project leader and project sponsor, use the project management process to define the project terms of reference, prepare a project plan, finance a project and develop their project management skills. The course is validated by Griffith College. This course focuses on the development of professional skills and does not sit on the national framework.

The Professional Diploma in Project Management is offered as a part-time course over 12 weeks and is aimed at project managers, project team members and professional management who will benefit from the modular based principles of project management when faced with the dynamics of the competitive business environment.

Entry Requirements | All applicants must be a user of Microsoft Office. It is recommended that applicants have a good understanding of both written and spoken English. Applicants under 23 years of age: Minimum 5 O6s/H7s in the Irish Leaving Certificate or equivalent award OR FETAC Level 5 Full Award Applicants over 23 years of age (Mature students): Direct Entry - If you are 23 years or over from the 1st January of this year, you can apply for this course directly using the College’s online application form. |
Career Path | This professional diploma is the perfect foundation for participants who wish to progress in the workplace. Successful applicants may also elect to pursue further studies in this area. Graduates from this course may be interested in progressing to the BA in Business or the Professional Diploma in Leadership Skills at Griffith College, subject to satisfying the English Language requirements, where necessary. |
