The purpose of this award is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence in the theory, principles and practice underpinning the nursing process and nursing profession to enable the learner to perform a range of basic nursing skills. The course offers valuable opportunities to successful candidates to a pathway on the route of mature student access through the CAO to Nursing, ideal for candidates who wish to pursue a career as a Healthcare Assistant in today’s healthcare settings.
