Course Times | BA Community Studies is a completely Modular Degree. Classes are delivered between 6.15-10.00 on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings (with a 30 minute break between modules). Students must attend both nights of their first semester Sept. - Dec. but can choose how many modules and how many nights they wish to attend from the beginning of their second semester. |

Career Path | Community Studies students are often active at some level in the community and voluntary sector. Graduates of the BA Community Studies degree acquire knowledge and develop skills that are desirable in the statutory, community and voluntary sectors. Our graduates have progressed to work in the areas of adult and further education and training; adult literacy, community development, teaching, drug and alcohol services, civil service and Non-Governmental Organisations. Some graduates decide to proceed into postgraduate study in fields of interest such as education, guidance and counselling, citizenship, social inclusion and social cohesion, regeneration, narrative enquiry, gender studies, politics and sociology or directly on to the HDip.
