Journalism, Digital Media and Public Relations

This one-year course in journalism, Digital Media and Public Relations teaches students the skills to be a modern journalist or public relations professional. Students will learn how to work across various types of media, while still incorporating the main theoretical concepts of journalism.
Students will appreciate how digital technology and the use of multiple platforms to deliver news stories are being used to engage a wide and varied public audience.

Career Path The journalism award will allow graduates to access the Level 8 degree in Journalism at DCU, TUD, University of Limerick and NUI Galway. Students can also access many other degrees at universities and technological universities or private colleges throughout the country such as Media Studies at Maynooth University and Multimedia at DCU. Graduates may also access other degrees at TUD Blanchardstown, Tallaght and City Campus, South East Technological University, Carlow, IADT and many more.
