Course Description
Introduction to Tai Chi Chuan
Master Ding Academy Ireland
Beginners Tai Chi!
When we see people practicing Tai Chi we see stillness within, calmness without, focus, balance, coordination and smooth flow within all movements. All the things we see practiced in the body are also present in the mind.
It’s all real, and if you want it, you can have it too.
If you’re looking for a practice you can begin to learn now, then possibly continue to develop through in-person classes later on, this is the place for you.
We will be running a 12 week Introductory Tai Chi Course via zoom.
By the end of the Course we’ll take what we’ve learned and bring it together into an integrated ’15 Minute Tai Chi’ routine. This will be your daily practice and will include:
• Meditation to still the mind and strengthen the body,
• Exercises to gently stretch and loosen the body,
• Form to develop strength, balance and coordination within the body,
• And finally breathing and settling exercises to bring everything home…
The Course will run with two classes per week, Tuesday and Thursday evenings 7:15-8:15pm
The Course will be commencing May 4th.
If you’ve had no prior experience with Tai Chi that’s no problem. During the Course you’ll be given simple, clear instruction on Chi Kung, Taoist Core Exercises, the Master Ding Foundation form and breathing/settling exercises. Classes will typically include practice of previously learned material, Q&A, explanation and demonstration of new material, group practice and finally solo practice with observation and corrections from the instructor.
To book a place or if you have any questions, email the Instructor, Ross Cousens.
