Introduction to Drama (8 weeks Monday 7.00-9.00pm)  

For beginners or people who have some experience in drama and theatre. 

 2 hours per class 

 Classes build on the work from previous weeks, but they will also have themes. If a student misses a class/few classes, they will still be able to come to class and participate fully again. 

All classes will introduce students to a variety of drama and theatre exercises: 

• Ice breakers, warm-ups and teambuilding 

• Improvisation and encouraging a sense of “play” 

• Exploring the “who, what and where” of scenes 

• Voice and movement work 

• Begin to explore play text work and scenes 

• Sight reading 

• Character development 

• Monologues 

Students – Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Just bring themselves and a willingness to join in and have fun!
