Hairstyling

For the absolute beginner or those who may already have some experience and wish to refresh their skill base. Please note this course does not involve cutting or colouring hair. Topics Include: Tools, equipment & product knowledge, Sectioning hair, Pony tails. Using heated appliances (hairdryers, heated rollers, tongs, straightening irons), blow dries, Techniques (backcombing, smoothing, creating different types of curls, Velcro rollers and roller placement/ sets). Working with different hair types (fine, thick, curly, dry, damaged, greasy, treated & extensions). Short hair styling. Bridal hair styles (classic, modern and contemporary). Plaits & pleats (French, modern, classic & herringbone), Quiffs and Mowhawks. Bring along hair dryer, brushes etc. Models may be needed.
