Donahies Community School
The Back to Education Initiative (BTEI) provides part-time further education programmes for all ages. The aim is to give people, who left school early or have no formal education, an opportunity to combine a return to learning with family, work and other responsibilities.
It is a QQI Certified course with national recognition and is above Junior Cylce level. The subjects covered are Communications/English, Maths, Computers Skills, Personal Effectiveness and Art.
It is a one year course that runs from September to May in line with the school calendar. The course takes place from Monday to Thursday, 9:30 – 1:00. Class sizes are small.
