Gemmology (Diploma)

The next intake for this course is September 2025.
For people with no previous training in gemmology but who have an interest in gemstones, as well as for those working in the jewellery and related trades. The Diploma course aims to provide students with a broad introduction to the study of precious and semi-precious gemstones, demonstrating laboratory techniques used to identify gemstones and provides the student with hands-on experience in gemstone identification. The former will include tuition on good microscope practice using a range of simple laboratory techniques.
