Fundamental PID Control

This course is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the role played by Measurement and Control Systems in industry. It is targeted primarily at those already qualified in an engineering/science discipline and who wish to develop a basic understanding of process instrumentation systems.Focusing on the practical application of control strategies to a variety of basic process models, the aim of this course is to enable students to develop a basic practical understanding of 3 Term PID (Proportional, Integral and Derivative) automatic control systems and to apply and confi gure appropriate control solutions for single variable applications.
Students who successfully complete both courses, the ITC Certificates in Process Control and Instrumentation and Fundamental PID Control, will be awarded the Special Purpose Award of Certificate in Automatic Control Systems.
