This programme is designed for those working in the area of Early Years Health, Care and Education. It provides a pathway where-by those currently employed in the area may undertake a part time degree whilst simultaneously utilising their day to day work as part of the course. Designed to enhance the existing experience of the student, the programme will provide the opportunity to develop competence in a range of theoretical and practical skills related to the area of early years education.

Entry Requirements | Full QQI/FETAC Level 6 Award in Early Childhood Care & Education (6M2007) A full Level 6 Major award is made of eight modules. There are 3 mandatory modules and 5 elective modules from each of the sections in the Full Level 6 Award: Mandatory Modules (these three must be completed to obtain a full award): Childhood Social, Legal & Health Studies (6N1945), Child Development (6N1942), Early Childhood Curriculum (6N1944) Elective Modules (one from each of the following two sections): Work Experience OR Work Practice, Communications OR Team Leader-ship OR Professional Development. |
