These types of programmes are not taught on the majority of electronics or IT academic programmes but the specific skill is an absolute requirement for all Information Communications Technology (ICT) companies in developing network technology and for all organisations who operate an IT or ICT network. The requirement for this skillset has a particular current requirement as IT and telecommunications technologies converge.
