Students will be introduced to this needlecraft as we create a cross stitch bookmark together. The pattern will be provided to the student along with all materials to complete it. Please note that this project will not be finished within the class time and you will be encouraged to take it home with you to complete at your leisure.

Week 2 – String Art

This unique artform uses a wooden board with pegs or nails and colourful string to complete a predetermined pattern that has been mapped out on the board. The result is a unique piece of artwork that you can hang on your wall. 

Week 3 – Mini Building Blocks

This week some of us will be transported back to our childhood days of using a certain brand of bricks to create a work of art. In the case of this week we will be using mini bricks to create a cute bird that can fit in the palm of your hand. Patience will be required, as the pieces are quite small to work with, but once you get going you’ll be delighted to see your creation slowly coming to life and becoming…well… A cute bird!
