Easy to Learn breads, savoury and sweets items for the home baker.
Week 1: Sausage/Veggie Rolls and ham & cheese Jambons
Week 2: Buttermilk Soda Bread & Scones with cream and jam
Week 3: Chocolate brownie with toasted nuts and cream.
Week 4: Goats cheese parcels & spicy Samosas, using filo pastry
Week 5: Muffin week with class choice and frostings
Week 6: Pasties and Empanadas using shortcrust pastry
Week 7: Swiss-roll with fresh lemon curd or buttercream, using Victoria sponge
Week 8: Bread week, quick Italian bread & savoury enchiladas
Week 9: Cake week with class choice of carrot cake, lemon drizzle etc
Week 10: Bakewell tart with frangipane and apricot glaze.
Notes:
- Menu is subject to change according to availability of ingredients. All recipes can be made suitable for vegetarians.
- Students cook in pairs- This is a fantastic way to meet new people & make new friends.
- Please bring along a Tea Towel, sharp paring knife, a cloth and 2 large lunch boxes to bring food home in after.
· Tidy up at the end of class is essential. The kitchen needs to be left spotlessly clean and everything put back in its correct place. Thank you in anticipation of your cooperation in leaving the room in good order for the next class.
