Aesthetic Training Academy Ireland (A.T.A.I.)

Ireland’s most advanced skin care course

Another ATAI first for Ireland is our unique advanced skin therapy and rejuvenation courses designed to instil a deep understanding of skin science and practical techniques. Based on the new Level 4 format the course has core and elective components to tailor the structure to your existing skill set and your personal goals within the aesthetics industry.

eLearning

The theory side of the course is delivered through eLearning. It provides approximately 150 hours of CPD accredited learning where you can learn at your own pace and in your own time. Facilitated through a purpose-built learning management system for aesthetic courses it remembers where you left off. Throughout the course, you will be challenged with a variety of testing aids designed to help you learn while making sure you have understood each module’s content.

Practical Training

The course theory content delivered through eLearning, allows us to concentrate far more on practical skills. Depending on the electives taken, for example, IPL or RF will have an impact on the time spent in clinical training. As a guide, you perform 12 case studies for skin peels and 12 case studies for micro needling.

This is performed in a typical clinical setting, i.e. from consultation through to delivery of the procedure. Practical training days are Mondays, and Tuesday’s and an average duration is three to 5 weeks depending on electives from 10 am to 3 pm. We keep class numbers low, typically six people or under to maximise the learning experience.

ATAI Clinic

While it is not compulsory, we highly recommend after the practical training you attend the ATAI educational clinic to further your experience and hone your skills. Leaving ATAI feeling fully confident in your abilities and client care will make your viability as an employee far more attractive to potential employers. If you are setting up on your own, you will have much more confidence in your abilities to practice without oversight.
