Are you looking to transition into cinematography? Perhaps you’re a photographer wishing to cross over to the moving image? Maybe you’re already working in the film, TV and screen media industry but you want to learn camera and cinematography skills?
In this hands-on programme, delivered by industry professionals, you will learn core practical skills in:

- Planning and realising complex visual sequences
Working across location-based, set-based and studio-based cinematography, this programme will hone your cinematography and visual storytelling abilities in all genres and across all modes of production.
Not limited to production, learners bring footage they have generated during the programme and see it through to post-production and grading. You’ll master established industry workflows to grade, finish and master your work to produce industry-standard deliverables to the highest professional standard.

Entry Requirements | This programme has been developed as a level 8 programme for school leavers as well as mature learners who wish to attain a third level qualification in digital cinematography and image grading and go on to work in the industry. Applicants to the programme must meet normal QQI requirements, Level 7 or equivalent, award on the National Framework of Qualifications. The applicants require a background in TV production or creation. Candidates applying on the basis of their Leaving Certificate must obtain a minimum of two H5 grades and four 4 O6/H7 grades, to include Maths and a language (English, Irish or another language). The English language entry requirements for the programme are CEF B2+ or equivalent. Candidates with English language levels below CEF B2+ must first reach this minimum standard before enrolling on the academic programme. Candidates with equivalent grades from other awards and mature learners (23+) are also considered |
