This programme aims to provide applicants with the essentials skills in how to use Computer Aided Design software. During this programme applicants will have an opportunity to learn
how an object is designed in either 2D or 3D and how objects can be manufactured.
On completion of this programme graduates will have the skills required to source employment and/or career progression in the broad Engineering and Manufacturing sectors.
This course is scheduled to run Wednesday evenings from 6.00-10.00.
Please note all Learners must have competent written and spoken English (CEFR B1 or Higher)

Entry Requirements | Ideally, applicants should have completed Leaving Certificate, LCVP, LCA with a technical drawing subject or Hold a QQI Level 4 Major Award or equivalent or Have relevant industry experience in sectors such as: • Architecture • Structural Engineering • Mechanical & Electrical Engineering • Industrial Design • Interior Design • Landscape Architecture Good spatial aptitude and good form perception are essential as are good numerical and literacy skills. Centres should ensure that candidates have the potential and opportunity to gain the qualifications successfully. Competency in performing conventional draughting tasks or previous relevant technical design is essential. Have completed the CAD 2D Level 2 Course |
