A course provider can award a Certificate of Attendance on completion of a course of study. These certs do not fall on the National Framework of Qualifications, rather, they serve as documentation to mark the end of your programme. They usually state the type of course, when it took place, and what was covered in the curriculum. A Certificate of Attendance can be used to verify the time you were registered at an educational institute. Others are non-NFQ certificates for those who wish to broaden their knowledge or skills in a particular area. Course providers offering hobbyist or introductory courses may award Certificates of Attendance.
