As part of Science Week 2021, Teagasc, the state agency providing research, advisory and education in agriculture, horticulture, food and rural development in Ireland, is hosting The Festival of Farming and Food ‘Creating our Future’ Brainstorming Session. The event takes place on Monday November 8th | 11am – 12 noon.

This event is hosted by broadcaster Jonathan McCrea. If you have an interest in agriculture, food and the environment join the discussion and be part of Ireland’s biggest brainstorming session.

Creating our Future Brainstorm Event

This event is aimed at an adult audience.

Join broadcaster Jonathan McCrea (Futureproof, Newstalk), in conversation with:

Declan Troy, Acting Director of Research, Teagasc
Shane O’Donnell, Ambassador, Creating our Future campaign and
Maeve Henchion, Head of Agribusiness and Spatial Analysis Department, Teagasc

The panel will discuss their areas of research, how research ideas are generated and opportunities for future research. Declan and Maeve will also outline some of the new and topical areas that Teagasc is currently researching. Join this lively discussion to share your ideas on topics that should be the focus of future research.

Seamus Carey, Public Engagement Consultant for the Creating our Future campaign, will facilitate this engaging brainstorming session where you will have an opportunity to share and discuss these ideas.
