Science Week 2021 will take place from the 7th – 14th of November.

Science Week Ireland is a week-long event in Ireland each November, celebrating science in our everyday lives. The Science Week programme includes workshops, science shows, talks, laboratory demonstrations, science walks and other science-related events. It is a collaboration of events involving industry, colleges, schools, libraries, teachers, researchers and students throughout Ireland. In 2020, Science Week will have a number of regional festivals offering a range of opportunities for the public to engage with STEM in across Ireland.

The focus of Science Week 2021 will be on a national conversation between the general public, the research community, and policymakers. This conversation will highlight the potential of existing scientific discoveries but, crucially, it will ask what challenges are most important to the Irish public and how science might help. Most importantly Science Week will aim to capture these challenges, or questions, as they arise from the public.

Throughout Science Week there will be a variety of events, interviews, social media and much more.
