National Heritage Week, an initiative by the Heritage Council, celebrates all things heritage. This year’s event will take place from Saturday, 14th August to Sunday, 22nd August 2021. The week brings together communities, families, organisations, cultural institutions, academics and enthusiasts, to build awareness about the value of heritage and support its conservation.
National Heritage Week welcome proposals to organise a heritage project.
The Heritage Council has announced that it will deliver a series of webinars to support Heritage Week project organisers in 2021. This June, three sessions will take place to help heritage enthusiasts learn more about creating and sharing their heritage projects.
During the sessions you’ll hear from heritage experts and experienced National Heritage Week project organisers. You’ll also have a chance to ask questions relating to this year’s approaches (heritage newcomers; heritage sharing; and heritage for all ages), as well as about the practicalities of developing and sharing your project.
