We are very pleased to announce that Palmerstown Community School has joined Nightcourses.com. The school offers a fantastic range of adult education courses with practical, creative, professional and hobby options.
Exercise for fun and fitness
If you want to have fun and get fit, the school offers ballroom dancing classes and FitSteps. FitSteps requires no partner and blends ballroom with Latin dance routines for a fun, fitness workout. Other exercise courses include yoga levels 1 and 2 as well as a GC Fitness Gym membership and instruction.
Practical and computer courses
Practical courses include manual handling and car maintenance, as well as home cooking and baking.
There are computer courses for beginners and improvers, as well as the European Computer Driving Licence certification. If creativity is more to your liking the school also offers a “how to” course for aspiring bloggers.
Creative courses
Creative courses include creative writing with writer Aidan Hynes; advanced painting with artist Irene Uhlemann; and pottery with artist Jill Kelly. In addition, you can do courses on digital photography, stained glass art, mindful doodling or guitar. These is also a course on making gifts and cards.
Languages
There are a number of language courses including French, Italian and Spanish as well as sign language.
Upskilling and more
If you are looking at adding to your career skillset or changing direction, Palmerstown Community School has a course in event management. In addition, they offer courses on caring for older persons and special needs training in conjunction with the Open College.
For students there are courses on preparing an art portfolio as well as Leaving Certificate essay writing.
Other options include a fun and informative course on parenting teens; aromatherapy; mechanical technologies; and an introductory course to complex cumulative trauma in students.
