Established in 2004, College of Management and IT (CMIT) is the leading provider of certified and accredited elearning and distance learning education in Ireland. CMIT offers a huge range of distance learning and eLearning courses, with fantastic new ones added all the time.

A recent addition is the ILM Certificate in Leadership and Management. This is a business analytics course using Excel.

About the course

This certificate course comprehensively covers the use of business analytics using Microsoft Excel.

The course covers how to use business analytics to describe and identify as well as predict behaviour. The course covers how to:

  • Define the analytics problem
  • Acquire and blending datasets
  • Clean datasets
  • Use descriptive analytics
  • Use predictive analytics
  • Present data and findings

The course is highly practical and also uses provided sample datasets which students work on to firstly clean data and create a data warehouse and then undertake a series of analytics tasks.
