A full practically hands-on lesson to give you an idea of what is involved in grooming a dog. An information pack on grooming set up costs and general information on a career in dog grooming. Course fee is refundable on booking a full course.

Our dog grooming courses are designed to be flexible to suit your busy lifestyle. Practical in salon classes are run 7 days a week. The theory part of the courses is taught online. Therefore, allowing you to learn at your own pace at home. Our animal First Aid and CPCR is taught by industry renowned Vet Dr Sophie Bell. You have one year to complete your course.
We offer two Ofqual regulated courses awarded by Open College Network Northern Ireland nationally recognised awarding body developed in conjunction with the International Animal Care College. All courses are work based assessed and awarded by Open College Network Northern Ireland and recognised within Europe.
Your trainer and assessor, Clare has been in the industry for over 13 years. She holds a JKL dog grooming Diploma. She achieved Level 6 QQI Diploma with distinction in Training Needs evaluation and Design. Clare is passionate about supporting students on their journey to enter the dog grooming industry with confidence to become highly successful individuals in their chosen careers!
Taster days are a must for every student. Visit our hi-tech salon in Portlaoise, Co. Laois where you will groom a dog from start to finish and get a real feel for the job.
The training centre is within walking distance of Portlaoise train station and parking is available.
