BIMM Brighton was the first BIMM college to open (2001), followed by colleges in Bristol (2008), London (2010), Dublin (2011), Manchester (2013), Berlin (2015),  Birmingham (2017) and Hamburg (2018).

The eight BIMM institutes collaborate in perfect harmony. At the same time, each individual music college has its own unique, independent regional identity which we continue to nurture.

We’re Europe’s largest, most connected music institute with 8 colleges based in vibrant musical cities across the UK and Europe. Our creative space not only nurtures talent; it also enables future generations to find their place within the music industry

For over 35 years, we’ve equipped our students with the knowledge and skills they need to meet the demands of the music business – and graduate feeling industry-ready.

As a BIMM student, you’ll be part of a unique creative community, with access to unrivalled connections and real-world industry experiences. You’ll have the opportunity to be yourself and study in an environment that works closely with the very industry you’ll find your place in.

The BIMM Dublin campus is spread between two buildings – our main building in Francis Street in Dublin City Centre. An additional location is a short distance away in The Coombe.

The two-storey Francis Street building comprises of six large teaching studios, a live performance room, tutorial suites, a student common room and a resource center. The three-storey building in The Coombe consists of the ground floor. Over the coming years the remaining two floors will be developed to include a recording studio, teaching spaces, computer rooms and tutorial suites.

Our high-tech equipment and software is provided by the world’s leading musical instrument manufacturers who actively support and endorse us. These include Yamaha, Fender, Cornford, Marshall, Mapex, Mesa, Boogie, Vox, Ampeg, Peavey, Hiwatt, Orange and Roland.

Our BIMM Dublin tutors are all very active in the local Dublin music scene and beyond, and between them. They have been nominated for Ivor Novello awards, contributed to movie soundtracks, coached some of the world’s greats in their craft, and toured the world with major bands. Put simply, they’re really well connected and eager to pass their knowledge, experience and guidance onto you.
