If you’d like to learn more about this creative, fun past-time, it’s time to look at the possibility of doing an evening class! Get snap happy with the Dublin Camera Club, who run an in-depth photography class for beginners which is also great value. Starting this September, the course will take place over nine Wednesday evenings with two time slots to choose from: 6.30pm or 8.30pm. The 6.30pm classes have a tendency to book out quickly so if this works best for your schedule, make sure to act now. As well as the classes there are add-on workshops (4 or 5 depending on the participants’ progress), and mentored photoshoot sessions where you will get one-on-one instruction on the use of your specific camera.

Photography Class: What to Expect

A popular element of the programme is the final exhibition of the class’s photos. At the end of the course, students are able to produce professional-standard prints which will be displayed in a public exhibition in the Dublin Camera Club exhibition gallery on Camden St. And best of all? You will get all the above for €120 – all in. It doesn’t matter what kind of camera you have, the classes will cover the photography basics that can be applied to a phone or to top professional gear.
