The National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO) is a not for profit organisation with charitable status.

NISO’s Mission

The National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO) mission is to make Irish workplaces among the safest and healthiest in Europe. They do this by:

• Providing leading information, advisory and training services
• Promoting a culture of excellence in workplace health and safety
• Playing a leading role in advancing the national health and safety agenda
• Helping members to develop a culture of health and safety in their workplace

Training

The National Irish Safety Organisation runs occupational health and safety training courses.

Since 2009, they were a certified FETAC centre of learning. They now provide a number of Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI previously was FETAC) accredited courses. These include:

• NISO Introduction to Occupational Health and Safety
• VDU/DSE Assessor training Course
