GP Practice Assistant

This course aims to prepare students to support GPs to expand their practice by assisting the Practice Nurse and
medical/admin staff. This course will equip the learner with the knowledge and skills required for this new role
as identified by the Health Service Executive. GP Practice Assistants carry out roles such as recording vital signs and
weight, sterilising equipment, restocking consultation rooms, covering administrative duties and communicating
with patients and members of the public.
