The Royal Agricultural University (RAU) has been at the forefront of agricultural education and a key contributor to the land-based sector for 175 years.
We are a specialist university based in Cirencester, Gloucestershire UK, close to Cheltenham. Our undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses cover subjects such as agriculture, business, environment, wildlife, equine science, farm management, food, real estate and rural land management, with full and part time options available.
This includes two postgraduate programmes delivered primarily through high quality distance learning, our MSc Sustainable Food and Agriculture Policy and our MBA Innovation in Sustainable Food and Agriculture.
From September 2020, the University welcomed our first intake of students on our Cultural Heritage postgraduate level courses including archaeological and heritage management programmes.
The University prides itself on its links with industry and all courses are designed to meet the demands of the employment market for land-based expertise, both in the UK and worldwide.
In 2019, the RAU was awarded Enterprising Learning Provider of the Year at the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship (IOEE) awards. Students on all courses can take part in the University’s Enterprise and Entrepreneurship programme accessing support to launch or develop their own businesses.
