Advanced Course in WordPress (Web design)

The WordPress Advanced Course is the follow up course to our WordPress Starter Course, for when you feel comfortable blogging and are now ready to spread the word, synchronise accounts with Facebook and Twitter and get more publicity for your website through online marketing.

The WordPress Advanced Course will focus on getting the most out of a WordPress.com account. The course will cover synchronising WordPress.com accounts to get more visibility through Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook, inserting ‘Follow us’ buttons, embedding Pinterest, Instagram and Youtube videos, adding PayPal and a portfolio to your site, customising the navigation bar, SEO myths and reality, creating a contact form, uploading a blog icon, adding google maps, editing photos for the web, using featured images, specifying a new landing page and how to get rid of ‘WordPress’ in your domain name. This training is tailored to WordPress.com accounts, but most topics covered on the day are also relevant to WordPress.org accounts, however some of them would need the installation of certain plugins.

This course is tailored to people who use a computer as a normal user – browsing the internet, checking e-mails and using simple applications such as Word – and who feel comfortable using all topics covered in our WordPress Starter Course.

This Advanced Course is limited to 6 participants and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. The course is priced at €239 per person and there is a 10% early bird discount available, which will bring the price down to €215 for a full day of training including lunch. If you sign up for the Starter and Advanced course together, you will receive a 15% discount on both courses, sign ups for 3 courses “Starter, Advanced and ‘Build your own site’ Workshop” receive a 20% discount (savings of €126). 

The training facility is 5 minutes walking distance from the green Luas line (Leopardstown Valley stop) and 2 minutes drive from the M50 with free parking.

Please note, all participants will need to bring a laptop that they are familiar with on the day.
