Pre-University PE Teaching and Coaching
Dunboyne College of Further Education
This one-year course is designed to prepare students for a career in the sports, coaching and fitness sectors, or provide a pathway to further study in Physical Educating teaching. Students will engage in a range of sports, both practically and academically. Students will also gain the social, communications and leadership skills to work with students in the teaching area, along with athletes and groups in the growing sports,
coaching and fitness areas.
In partnership with Meath GAA and the Football Association of Ireland (FAI), students can complete coaching courses and obtain coaching badges to further enhance their practice and experience.

Career Path | This course enables graduates to pursue a career in P.E teaching. Alternatively, students may progress to a sport or science related Level 8 degree. Graduates may also choose to pursue careers in various roles such as strength and conditioning, sports coach, sports offices and many different roles in within the sports, leisure and fitness industry.
